Sambandhaparīkṣāvṛtti by
Based on the examination of the Sambandhaparīkṣāvṛtti’s contents and commentarial style, Steinkellner formulates the hypothesis that the Vṛtti "is a text written down by Devendrabuddhi following the teachings of Dharmakīrti" (Steinkellner, ed. 2022 p. xiv). Devendrabuddhi is mentioned as the author in the colophon of the Drepung Sanskrit manuscript, while the colophons of the Tibetan translation in the Tanjur versions mention Dharmakīrti as the author. In April 2024, the editors of EAST decided to reclassify the Sambandhaparīkṣāvṛtti and attribute its authorship to Devendrabuddhi. Publications prior to Steinkellner, ed. 2022 assumed Dharmakīrti as the author.
