*Refutation of the Pratyabhijñā system (?) by Jitāri

A text-fragment attributed to Jitāri, edited in Iyengar 1952 p. 85, has been taken as the basis for hypothesizing a lost work refuting the Pratyabhijñā system of Utpaladeva. However, Ratié 2014 p. 193, n. 520 points out that this fragment criticizes the Mīmāṃsaka notion of pratyabhijñāna. She considers it far more likely that the fragment comes from Jitāri's Sugatamatavibhaṅgabhāṣya.
