Tarkaśāstra by Anonymous

For Tucci, “Tarkaśāstra” is the name for a literary genre (Tucci 1929 p. 486f). Frauwallner wants to see under this designation a specific work that is authoritative for the Dignāga school (Frauwallner 1957 p. 144). It also seems possible that “Tarkaśāstra” is not only the name for a literary genre but also the name of a specific treatise cited by the Dignāga school.
